Please call (978) 929-7711 to set up an appointment for one of the following services, which are available at the Public Safety Facility (371 Main St.):
  • Fingerprinting (State / Federal required)
  • Firearm Identification Card Application and pick-up
  • Pistol Permit Applications (fingerprinting and photos)
  • License application to sell firearms, ammunition, and renewals
  • Permit photography
  • Good conduct letters

Fingerprinting

At this time, the INS will only allow certified agencies to complete fingerprinting services for applicants. The cost is $10, you must have the appropriate cards from INS, and have some form of positive identification. Prior to being processed, the applicant must have the fingerprint card filled out completely.

Payment is made by personal check, bank check, or money or postal orders. Payment is to be made out to the Town of Acton.
